I don't have much time today...but I had an amazing birthday this week! thanks for all the wishes on facebook...haha my friends here in my ward went and told me of all the birthday wishes...hehe thanks!!!! I just want to share a quote from the liahona 2013 "Humility is a fertile soil where spirituality grows and produces the fruit of inspiration to know what to do." -elder richard g. scott. let us be teachable and moldable. let us be what god wants us to be! I was able to sing one of my FAVORITE hymns this past sunday. Be Still my Soul.... I surprised myself...people were crying, I felt the spirit so strong and it radiated with everyone else. Here on a mission you learn to except your whole self and know we arent perfect nor do we have to be! as long as we are always growing and striving. "leave to thy God! to order and provide....through thorny ways leads to a joyful end....be still my soul the hour is hastening on, when we shall be FOREVER with the Lord." pray for our investigators....they are all so ready, but just dont want to go to church....my trainer is leaving this week back home to peru its very sad, but im excited to recieve a new trainer! My heart is in this work. I may not know the language much yet, but my heart prays and pleads for the people here, and that is stronger than words....I love you all be happy!!!! help others be happy!!! hermana waddell

Don't lose faith

It's been a difficult week. When you can't get yourself in check physically and mentally, it's hard to help others! Many hospital visits this week....oh so fun. Some of the hardest times are when you have time to rest and think and have a break, your mind starts to wander to your old life....Dance, Hawaii, friends, family....Then you have to check yourself because you are on the Lords errand! Satan never stops, but neither does the work of the Lord! I've really been growing to love these people! Often times when people have a really large problem, and they never seem to keep their commitments or change....its easy to think they will never change! DONT LOSE FAITH in your loved ones, how we see them is NOT how the Lord sees them. We see how they are, He sees who they can become! The light of Christ is in everyone! You can be an instrument in the Lords hands, all things are possible. From drug dealers to adulterers to normal people who just don't go to church, they are all the same and they all deserve the chance to know the gospel and to feel the spirit and have that change of heart. The members here are awesome, we could not do the work without them, they are the glue! Mexico is still hot as ever haha and I love it! Talking to my family yesterday was icing on the cake! One of our investigators came to church yesterday, and we could see the change in her. Its so beautiful to see. Always remember why we are here, because its so so so short compared to eternity. much love hermana Waddell oh and happppppy Mothers day to all you moms out there!!!

Never Alone...

So, being a missionary is like being on a reallllly long rollercoaster.... We have so amazing investigators, and most all of them are families! which is the icing on the cake! We feel the spirit together, I barely understand, but its getting better, little by little....Then sunday comes its 110 degrees, we are going to every investigators door, praying fervently please someone come to church. unfortunetly, satan gets in the way of alot of things. Even our recent converts for some reason was like pullllling teeth to get them to get ready, literally picking out their clothes...haha....It{s difficult here because we have to find a ride for each of the investigators, no one has cars....Finally we managed to drag one girl whos family just got baptized and now shes set for 17 de mayo. We missed half of church.....but im grateful that we were able to testify through our actions and persistance to our investigator how important it is to get up and go to church! Im trying to have faith next week atleast one family will go, please pray for the people of mexico!!!! They need to know people care! This week there were many ups and downs, but more ups. Im going to die with all this corn tortillas everyday....my stomach can{t handle! the food is amazing here....agua frescas are the best! and the walking and heat keeps me thin. I noticed this week how much of the world I don{t see (in a good way) because my perspective is way different, how I see life is eternally....always follow your promptings, you never know what miricle will come after that act of faith!...stand up for your beliefs always..."The standard of Truth has been erected; no unhallowed hand can stop the work from progressing; persecutions may rage, mobs may combine, armies may assemble, calumny may defame, but the truth of God will go forth boldly, nobly, and independent, till it has penetrated every continent, visited every clime, swept every country, and sounded in every ear, till the purposes of God shall be accomplished, and the Great Jehovah shall say the work is done." - Joseph Smith o<im not on a mission for my health...this is the work of the lord, it would be crazy to come here and go through all of this if these words were not true....but guess what they are!!! The spirit is what converts it{s not us. if this werent the truth we would get absolutely nothing done, we would just be two random women walking in the street preaching what we thought was true....but thats not the case....we are not alone.....D&C 84:88 "And whoso receiveth you, there I will be also, for I will go before your face. I will be on your right hand and your left, and my Spirit shall be in your hearts, and mine angels round about you, to bear you up."...I love you all, remember you are never alone, never, especially when you are standing in what is true, he will always be there to back you up. te ama muchomuchomucho.
